The politics fueled by testosterone

A country like a bloated teenager

Egotistical and self absorbed

At war with itself

Taking it out on everyone else

Lacking introspection

Seeing reflection as weakness

Hating any sign of weakness

A misogynistic

Violent

Raging

Death machine

Importer of goods and services and destruction

Careening madly through the world

Knocking over whatever it chooses

Yet

Despite all this

Utterly and totally convinced of its own good intentions

Seriously so

Believing fervently in its own good

Paternalistic of all others

Demanding the one thing it cannot really give:

Respect

Oh say can you see

By the dawn’s early light

What so proudly we bombed you

And called it freedom
