My Posthumous Glory

My posthumous glory
Made for quite a story
It was told far and wide
With fondness and pride
These stories did regale
Enjoyed by all without fail
What a great source of pride
If only I’d not died
This would have provided such pleasure
That I would forever treasure
Bowing to one and all
None knowing of my fall
Only my glories remembered
All failures dismembered
My life they did celebrate
I guess I really was great
