Vanishing Today

Today went away

All of it

Gone

What did I do and

Where did I go

Seems nothing and nowhere

Where does time go when it slips away

How is it so illusive

And why

A whole day gone

This morning it was here

Rife with possibility

So much I could do

Get done

Places I could go

Visit

Experience

But it all disappeared

Wasted, perhaps

I’ll never get it back

Not another chance with it

Oh well, there’ll be others

Shiny and new with

Bright exciting mornings

And plenty of possibility

Next time i’ll hold on tight

Won’t let the day go

It’ll be mine
